  • Abstract:

    Objective:To investigate the prevalence and pathological changes of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in elderly patients with diabetes and analyze the results. Methods: 120 patients with diabetes over 60 years old who were hospitalized in our department from 2015 to may 2016, including 86 males and 34 females, aged from 62 to 87 years. Among them, 15 cases were insulin type and 105 cases were non insulin type According to the age at the time of diagnosis of diabetes, they were divided into two groups, 61-69 years old group (76 cases) and 70 years old group (44 cases). 120 elderly patients were retrospectively analyzed. Result:The elderly patients with diabetes have a high rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications, and cerebral vascular diseases are mainly cerebral infarction; And the typical clinical symptoms of diabetes decreased significantly with the increase of age; Among cardiovascular diseases: ① Hypertension accounted for 53.4%; ② Coronary heart disease accounted for 52.6%, of which 5 cases were complicated with myocardial infarction and 23 cases with arrhythmia. ConclusionsElderly patients with diabetes have a high incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and are prone to pathological changes.
