  • Abstract:

Objective: Most elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have bad psychological states such as anxiety and fear, pessimism and depression, loneliness and loss, blind optimism and dependence on others. By analyzing the psychological problems of elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, this paper summarizes the psychological characteristics of elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and on this basis, puts forward psychological treatment measures and implements corresponding nursing intervention. Methods: 112 elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases treated in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were randomly divided into 56 control groups and 56 observation groups. The control group was given general psychological care, while the observation group was given targeted psychological care on the basis of the control group. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results: In the control group, 24 patients (42.86%) achieved clinical cure. Clinical symptoms improved in 6 patients, accounting for 10.71%; 26 patients had no improvement or deterioration, accounting for 46.43%. In the observation group, 38 patients were clinically cured, accounting for 67.86%; Clinical symptoms improved in 12 patients, accounting for 21.43%; There were 6 patients with no improvement or deterioration, accounting for 10.71%. The above data are significantly different (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Through psychological nursing, the psychological problems of most elderly patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases have been relieved to some extent, which promotes the recovery of the disease and improves the quality of life.
