  • Abstract:

Objectives: to analyze the comprehensive intervention effect on the incidence of stroke in the elderly with hypertension, so as to reduce the incidence rate of stroke in the elderly and improve their quality of life. Methods: The elderly patients with hypertension who had no history of stroke in a hospital in 2018 were taken as the research objects, and the risk factors of stroke (baseline survey) and physical examination were carried out to screen high-risk objects. 100 high-risk objects were divided into intervention group and control group. The intervention group adopted community intervention, SES and hypertension control and other intervention measures, focusing on the prevention and control of hypertension, as well as public health education for community residents. The control group did not intervene. Follow up for 3 years and monitor the incidence of stroke in the two groups within 3 years. Results: After 3 years, the prevalence of hypertension in both the intervention group and the control group increased, but the prevalence of hypertension in the control group increased more significantly. The risk and mortality of stroke in elderly hypertensive patients in the intervention group were improved to varying degrees. The risk of stroke decreased by 29% (HR=0.71,95% CI: 0.58-0.87), and the death rate decreased by 40% (HR=0.60,95% CI: 0.42-0.86). Conclusions: Comprehensive prevention and treatment can reduce the treatment rate and mortality of stroke in the elderly with hypertension, which is an effective means of prevention and treatment of stroke in the elderly with hypertension.
