  • Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the effect of sitting time on the death risk of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Methods: Prospective cohort method was used to select 22360 residents aged 25 years and above to join the follow-up cohort, and the length of sitting in Y area residents from 2020 to 2021 was obtained. Use telephone follow-up, questionnaire, community follow-up, etc. to obtain the sitting time of residents in the area, and through the disease prevention and control center in Y to obtain the morbidity and mortality data of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Cox proportional risk model was used to analyze the correlation between the length of sitting and the death risk of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Results: Among the total 22360 people, the death rate of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases who sat for 3 hours was 1.2% (268/22360), the death rate of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases who sat for 3-6 hours was 2.3% (514/22360), and the death rate of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases who sat for more than 6 hours was 6.8% (1520/22360). Cox regression analysis shows that the increase of age, body mass index and sitting time will increase the risk of death of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Compared with people with sitting time
