  • Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the correlation between lipid metabolism disorder and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in the elderly. Methods: The elderly patients over 60 years old in our hospital from January 2022 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects, 60 elderly patients with lipid metabolism disorder as the experimental group, and 60 elderly patients with normal lipid metabolism as the control group. The indexes of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), apolipoprotein (APOB) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood of three groups were measured, To analyze the relationship between lipid metabolism disorder and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in elderly patients Results: The levels of TC, TG, APOB and LDL in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while HDL levels were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05) Conclusion: The disorder of lipid metabolism in elderly patients will lead to excessive lipid stored in the blood vessel wall and outside the cells, which will lead to the formation of lipid, thus increasing the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
