  • Abstract:

Objective In order to diagnose and help the elderly with hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer as early as possible and improve the quality of life of the elderly with liver cancer, the changes of serum AFP and CEA levels in the elderly with hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer were studied. Method 92 cases of hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer, 83 cases of hepatitis B-related cirrhosis and 70 cases of health examination were defined as liver cancer group, liver cirrhosis group and control group. The serum of the three groups were collected and the levels of AFP and CEA in the serum were detected by the automatic biochemical analyzer. Result The results showed that the levels of serum AFP and CEA were significantly higher in liver cancer group than in liver cirrhosis group; the higher the clinical stage, the lower the degree of differentiation, the smaller the tumor and the fewer the number, the higher the level of serum AFP; the sensitivity, accuracy and specificity of combined diagnosis of serum AFP and CEA were 89.25%, 84.44% and 81.98%, respectively, which were higher than single diagnosis results; serum CEA water The higher the level, the higher the survival rate and the lower the recurrence rate. Conclusion It is suggested that the detection of serum AFP and CEA levels is of great value in the diagnosis of hepatitis B-related primary liver cancer in the elderly.
