  • Abstract:

    Objective: to study the correction effect of spinal orthosis assisted yoga therapy on senile degenerative scoliosis.

     Methods: 80 elderly patients with degenerative scoliosis were divided into two groups on average. In the experimental group, 40 patients were in the surgery group with pedicle screw fixation on the affected area, and the wound healing after surgery was combined with yoga physiotherapy rehabilitation training. Results: the sagittal unbalance value of the control group was 14.22±2.89 mm coronal unbalance value of 12.73±3.66 mm after 6 months of treatment, while the experimental group was 8.71±1.37 mm coronal unbalance value of 8.86±1.83 mm after 6 months of treatment. After six months of treatment, the ODI scores of the experimental group and the control group were respectively 28.41±5.07 and 34.29±6.01. VSA score and JOA score of the control group were 2.69±0.72 and 14.13±4.01, respectively; VSA score and JOA score of the experimental group were 1.49±0.67 and 19.14±4.84, respectively. Psychological status before and after the treatment, the control group accepted value 38.02 + / - 2.15, the experimental group received value 72.03 + / - 2.57.Conclusion: the spinal orthopedic surgery assisted yoga therapy for senile degenerative scoliosis correction, orthodontic effect better, or the circumstances of the spinal pain, lower in patients with less psychological burden, after treatment, has no effect on the elderly in the future life.
