If parents suffer from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as hypertension and myocardial infarction, will children also suffer from such diseases? How to prevent?

First of all, it needs to be clear that the common feature of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral infarction (death), cerebral hemorrhage, and myocardial infarction (death) is atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is not a genetic disease. This disease is preventable and curable. As long as we recognize the risk factors of the disease and prevent various risk factors, we can prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and the earlier we prevent it, the better the effect.

Ten controllable risk factors of atherosclerosis: 1. Hypertension; 2. Hyperglycemia; 3. Hyperlipidemia (elevated LDL cholesterol); 4. Smoking; 5. Lack of exercise; 6. Weight gain (obesity); 7. Hyperfibrinogenemia; 8. Hyperhomocysteinemia; 9. Atrial fibrillation; 10. Sleep apnea.

In view of the above risk factors, some targeted measures can effectively prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases:

1. The risk factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases should be assessed regularly for people aged 40-75 years;

2. For people aged 20-39 years, the risk factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases should be evaluated at least once every 4-6 years;

3. Reasonable diet: Eat more vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, whole grains and other natural foods that can show the original appearance of the food, eat less high cholesterol foods such as animal viscera, eat less pickled foods, and try not to eat processed meat foods, such as sausages, sausages, bacon, cans, etc.

4. Increase exercise: 2.5 hours of moderate intensity aerobic exercise every week, or 1.5 hours of high-intensity aerobic exercise every week, such as fast walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, etc. Avoid sitting too long.

5. Weight control: controlling weight and abdominal circumference is beneficial to reducing the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

6. Avoid smoking: smoking is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

7. Blood pressure control: The premise of blood pressure control is to lose weight, eat healthy, increase physical activity, quit smoking and drinking. If the blood pressure is still higher than 130/80mmHg, it is recommended to take drugs to control blood pressure below this range.

8. Hyperlipidemia: reduce low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and take statins when necessary.

9. Type 2 diabetes: the occurrence and development of type 2 diabetes are deeply influenced by dietary patterns, physical exercise and body weight. It is recommended to take at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity every week, and on this basis, take medication to control blood sugar within the normal range.

10. Sleep apnea (severe snoring accompanied by apnea): It is recommended to conduct sleep monitoring and take appropriate treatment to ensure smooth respiratory tract.

11. Hyperhomocysteinemia: Hyperhomocysteinemia is an independent risk factor for cerebral atherosclerosis.

12. Atrial fibrillation: about 20% of cerebral infarction is related to atrial fibrillation. Timely detection and effective treatment of possible atrial fibrillation can prevent the occurrence of cerebral infarction, especially paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is more likely to cause cerebral infarction.

13. Other heart diseases may also be the cause of cardiogenic stroke: cardiac ultrasound can find potential diseases that may exist.

14. Aspirin is not a conventional drug: only the high-risk population with multiple risk factors and low bleeding risk patients need to take aspirin enteric coated tablets.
